John Griff is responsible for the Tuckerbrook Distressed Investment Program. Mr. Griff is a thirty year Wall Street veteran who brings deep managerial, risk management, and investment experience to his Tuckerbrook roles. He previously held the position of President, Putnam Lovell NBF Securities Inc, a specialized investment and merchant banking firm focused on the investment management sector. Additionally, Mr. Griff has served in numerous, global senior management roles at several bulge bracket firms including Merrill Lynch where he was Global Syndicate Manager, Lehman Brothers where he was Head of High Yield Debt, and HSBC, where he was Global Head of Fixed Income & CEO of HSBC Securities USA. His leadership and risk management experience span all investment banking businesses and investment products. His merchant banking experience includes private equity and leveraged loan portfolio management. During his thirty years on Wall Street, Mr. Griff has become known as a highly skilled trader, a keen investor in proprietary and private equity portfolios, a deeply experienced product/risk manager, a sought after senior manager, and a trusted member of numerous Executive Committees, Investment Committees, and Boards of Directors. He is credited for business building and turn-around efforts at each of the firms where he worked, and the businesses for which he has been responsible have produced an uninterrupted run of significant profitability. His relationships in the investment management and private equity business are broad and deep. Mr. Griff has a B.A. from Fordham University.
