Portfolio Manager, Tuckerbrook Long/Short Aggressive Growth Strategy & Tuckerbrook Short Alpha

Michael Katz is the Portfolio Manager for the Tuckerbrook Long/Short Aggressive Growth Strategy as well as a Portfolio Manager for the Tuckerbrook Short Alpha Investable Composite. Mr. Katz is the Founding Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager of Reynard, which has been pure short-selling since 1988. Before launching his hedge funds, Michael was an investment banker focused on M&A. He began his Wall Street career with a group of former senior partners at Salomon Partners who, after the Phillips Brothers buyout, had set up J.J. Lowrey & Co. In 1981 he spent four years on the buy side at Carlisle Capital Corp. and East View Corp. Prior to that, he advised Latin American development banks on capital structure and investment policy at ALIDE in Lima, Peru. He was also a consultant to International Finance Corp. (World Bank) on corporate restructurings and capital market issues in emerging markets.
